Why Iron man is trending in Twitter? Recasting Robert Downey, Jr.

Tony Stark aka Iron man is the character who made almost everyone in the world go crazy over the Marvel franchise movies it includes a non-comics audience. After snapping his finger against Thanos and his army to save the universe he gave us all a big cry and died. However, the 10 years of Ironman's journey in the MCU was always the golden age, and his legend is still carried to upcoming Marvel movies and TV-Shows. 

So, What happened recently that made Iron man fans on Twitter go berserk against the Tweet that was followed by Matt Damon's interview with The Sunday Times?  

This tweet sparks a rage on Ironman fans on Twitter but it did make some Ponder Whether Iron man/Tony stark could be played by anyone? Also, Do people like Tony Stark/Iron Man only because he's portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.?

Iron man/Tony stark could be played by anyone?

Yes, any talented actor can take up this role and portray Ironman. They don't necessarily need any extra qualifications to act this gig, but the catch is Marvel took their movies as a franchise so actors who are working on this role have to sign contract their dates for a very long time. This level of commitment takes courage and dedication to start with. 

When the first Iron Man movie decided to film MCU original choice for the role was Tom Cruise, who eventually dropped out due to differences of opinion on the script. One of the other candidates for the role was Sam Rockwell, who would eventually return to the series as Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2. However, Robert Downey Jr. was eventually chosen over all others as his own dark past perfectly mirrored that of Tony Stark. Other actors considered the lead were Hugh Jackman, Clive Owen, Timothy Olyphant, and Nicolas Cage!

Do people like Tony Stark/Iron Man only because he's portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.?

Tony Stark’s story is enthralling all by itself; Marvel’s writers crafted some great scripts (Iron Man, Avengers, Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame) and the directors involved (Faverou, Whedon, Russo bros) did an excellent job with them. Robert Downey Jr is a great actor outside the Marvel Cinema, but the fact he lived a similar life means he understands the character better than anyone, so he could portray him better than anyone else. 

So while Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, I'm saying here about Tony Stark, not RDJ...Got you. Iron man would be liked even if RDJ didn’t portray him, We can't think anyone could do as good a job as he did, and that was the final ingredient that took Tony Stark from compelling to sensation personality in Marvel.
